Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University is a government public university of Bangladesh. The short name of this varsity is JKKNIU. The university was established in February 2004.the university started their academic journey in 3 June 2007. It is situated in a place, popularly known as the Battala at Trishal Upazila headquarters in the district of Mymensingh. The first vice-chancellor of JKKNIU was Mohammad Shamsur Rahman.
